Daylight savings time is much better for my Seasonal Affective Disorder. Actually, I refused to change any of my clocks last November. I left them on Daylight Savings time all winter. I say the federal government should let the states do what the people in these states want. Especially in Ohio, where the people literally voted in a referendum on this. And if you say there are negative consequences for this, I say it's worth it.

@Zaphod42 A lot of people prefer standard time because of some principled stance about not being delusional about how you label the time.
After all, shouldn't solar noon (when the sun is directly overhead) be at 12pm and not 1pm?
But I say to you, why not 1pm? And why does the date change at 12am and not 1am? And why do we switch from am and pm at 12 rather than at 1? It seems kind of silly to me to start on the highest number. It's all silly anyway, so why not just do what feels better? lol

Why is it such a big deal
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@SW-User On a personal level it screws up my sleep and ruins my week after each time change. On a national level it increases the total number of home, work and auto accidents as well as being linked to an increased number of heart attacks and other stress related illnesses for the week following the time change. Overall it’s just a bad thing that is completely unnecessary in the modern age.

I read the proposal before voting on it. What we voted for was to give the California senate permission to vote on changing it if they choose to. 😕 @SW-User
