Actually both job growth and GDP growth have been setting records. Jobs are going begging for applicants. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel that way because the supply chain disruptions from the pandemic shutdowns have led to shortages which leads to inflation of prices. And the pandemic shutdowns leading to people working from home, finding alternatives to their former employment, starting their own businesses, etc., has made people more aware of the inequities in pay structures and quality of life issues.
