What is your opinion on yearly car state inspection

Some states only require to be inspected when you buy it.

Some states don’t have any inspection at all some states are every two years or every three years.

In the UK our cas are tested every year and they are off the road until repaired if faults are found... Emissions are stricter now.. Its a long list of checks on every car
