What is your opinion on yearly car state inspection

Some states only require to be inspected when you buy it.

Some states don’t have any inspection at all some states are every two years or every three years.

Where I live so long as the car is registered and insured you don't need an inspection until it is 20 years old at which time it is classified as an antique. My uncle let his 1964 pickup become an antique. It had 2800 miles on the odometer.
