What is your opinion on yearly car state inspection

Some states only require to be inspected when you buy it.

Some states don’t have any inspection at all some states are every two years or every three years.

On newer cars it's annoying, but for older cars, it make sense to make sure tires, pollution and safety devices are in normal working order...I guess it's also helpful to insurers..
