Which US State is the most Depressing/Worst?

I saw a post asking what country is the most depressing, with a lot of people answering the US.
But does that really count? I swear US states have their own laws and ways of life. Americans please answer below as I wanna know which is the worst state rather than the entire country as a whole.

I'd say states that have seen industry shut down, and jobs outsourced overseas, the rust belt/bible belt

Whatever state that Winter Bones was shot in where fentanyl/Opioid rates are out of fucking control
