I had covid

Back in late june early july of 2020 I had covid and I spent a couple of weeks hoping it would take me out. Obviously I lived, I never even got terribly sick, just a fever and I was really tired. A good man I knew was not as fortunate, my wifes daughter lost her father. Why do good people die and useless people like me get to live? It makes no sense.
