It can be. But really it is only truly worth it and beneficial when you yourself want help. Been there when i didn't want to be in there and once i got out, i went back almost right away to how i was before.
Times where i seeked help myself, I stuck to the program given to me and actually worked with them for help and it in my opinion helps a lot..
It also depends on if the hospital is a good one or not of course
