Have you ever made snow ice cream?

I grew up poor in the south. In the winter we'd get a big pot and spoon to get the snow with. We'd put it in the pot with some milk, sugar and vanilla flavoring. Stir it all up and enjoy.😋It was actually pretty good!

I have😒 That was one hell of alot of hand cranking on an antique wood bucket, packing snow and rock salt until the damn thing gave up it's dead. The cramp in my arm negated the wonderment of vanilla ice cream, I can categorically state.

@anythingoes477 so, in your estimation is this actually a snow custard or ice cream to you, because it would seem these two are different...at least to me. I'm not trying to argue....I just can't understand how this could be construed as ice cream unless this was more a bit of license as opposed to real ice cream. Trying to understand it is all.
