Why is it the older I get the more unhappier I become?

It is because as a human Race having a physical experience here on this earth we call 'life', we are taught from a young age to seek happiness from outside of ourselves, not from within ourselves.

But happiness does not lie anywhere 'out there' between ourselves and the horizon. Happiness 'out there' is nowhere to be found because it doesn't technically exist as an identifiable entity in any form. But we still keep looking for that illusive thing we hope will suddenly turn around and find US instead of us finding it, but it doesn't happen! Happiness never shows up in the form we think it should show up as. Once again, happiness no-showed the party and left us feeling high and dry.

It's sort of like the message found within that old country song, "Looking for love in all the wrong places". No matter where the songwriter looked outside of himself, in every bar, in every place he thought love could be found, he could not ever find love.

The bottom line is, we as that human Race really do look for happiness in all the wrong places, mainly because all those wrong places we've typically looked have been external to us the whole time we had our nose to the ground like a dog trying to pick up the scent.

The only place that happiness exists anywhere in this physical experience we're all having on earth as humans, is within ourselves. It lies no where else.

If we are not feeling a sense of happiness even when times are looking pretty crappy, then we're listening to the wrong voice in our head.

But when we're conditioned as children to listen to that 'wrong voice' by parents who also listened to that same 'wrong voice' as they made their best attempt at teaching us, it stands to reason that our sense of happiness won't amount to any more than what our own parents and mentors had experienced when they too were all seeking that same place called 'happiness' and never actually found it either.

How then, could they teach us anything of true value if they didn't know themselves where happiness could be found? We then, became just as unhappy as those who tried to teach us about life, but essentially failed through no fault of their own.

Where we usually have all of our social relationships is outside of ourselves in our external world, not inside ourselves within our internal world.

But we rarely think to establish a relationship with that 'other' voice we only sometimes hear within our head, which if we followed it's lead, it would literally lead us to where that happy place can be found every time! And it does![/c]

In all honesty, what I wrote to you I cannot take credit for despite my superior intellectual potential which is currently lying dormant as we speak.

When I started typing my response to you about listening to your inner voice to find happiness, the words I typed actually came from my own inner voice to give to you and were written exactly as I took dictation the old fashioned way.

I would like to declare them as my own thoughts and words to you, but that would be arrogant of me to claim ownership to something I did not create myself. And if that gives you any reason to stop looking outside yourself to find happiness, then my deliverance of that unsolicited message to you was worth it. [/c]
