True or False? Since we all now live in a touchy-feely, woke world where being "nice" is paramount, the truth depends on who you are talking to.

True. The truth depends on who you are trying to win over.
False. The truth is the truth no matter who it may offend.
Stop thinking, RL. It's annoying!

The "truth" ALWAYS depended on who you were talking to.
Same goes for proof or evidence.

Somewhere between his truth and her truth may be the real truth... It may take a bit more digging and seeing than many might realize.
Many "truths" are based on experiences and circumstances that vary from person to person.

@RogueLoner I'll give this some thought... half truth is something that takes some determining. Is it half truth if someone truly believes it to be the truth?
If intentionally giving only half the truth... not putting it all out there...yep, that's a big problem.

@RogueLoner Now, THIS I understand!
I was thinking about this earlier...how some things said make another look like a bad guy when seriously... that's not the case!
Sometimes, people choose to put the blame elsewhere or let it look like something is what it really isn't. By not correcting others assumptions, it's the same as letting a lie go.
P.S. It's one of many reasons I do not post about others online. I know there is my side and way of seeing things...and there is also another person's and neither of us are perfect.

@RogueLoner I'm with you, but then, how can we call someone a liar, if the "liar" perceives what he's saying, to be the truth, and isn't meaning to lie? He thinks he's actually telling the truth. To us, it's a lie. To him, it is not. To us, a lie is still a lie, but to the one who lied, it is not and he is not intentionally lying. He is simply misinformed. So is he a liar or just mistaken or uninformed? True, a lie is a falsehood. But asserting a falsehood while believing it to be true is not the act of lying. It is being mistaken.

@RogueLoner Exactly. I only used "he" for convenience and laziness. Haha I should have used "he/she". 🙌

@RogueLoner Media isn't so much about truth for all. Fear of offending, maybe. I think it amounts to who pays the bills and runs the show.
I think this whole topic can apply to most people and situations.
When some people bring some truths, they are shut down. I see what you are saying, it's just really hard to discuss on a site.
