True or False? Since we all now live in a touchy-feely, woke world where being "nice" is paramount, the truth depends on who you are talking to.

True. The truth depends on who you are trying to win over.
False. The truth is the truth no matter who it may offend.
Stop thinking, RL. It's annoying!

While I chose false as an answer, we have to take into account the ability of some people to twist our words and become offended anyway.

The "truth" ALWAYS depended on who you were talking to.
Same goes for proof or evidence.

Somewhere between his truth and her truth may be the real truth... It may take a bit more digging and seeing than many might realize.
Many "truths" are based on experiences and circumstances that vary from person to person.

@RogueLoner I agree!
This comes down to knowing whom we can trust. We can also stand strong in our own truth. For that you need to know exactly who you are, know your own worth, know what you stand for, know your own important values and know your true nature. To have courage to be authentic enough to stay true to yourself, assertive enough to speak up when it is needed, and brave enough to withstand the discomfort that sometimes comes with that.

Its so much safer to keep our opinions to ourselves. Someone will always be offended in the end. Its easier just to be non-social.

@RogueLoner I noticed that.😊

Touchy-Feelies will reject the truth with the first sentence so no use trying with most of them. They’ve already made up their mind by how something makes them feel. Logical thinking and critical thinking is not in their minds.
Arguably people have always been liars and fake throughout history woke people are specifically irritating though

This is pseudo-intellectual and dishonest, probably an attempt at humor. Metaphysically truth is mutable, personal and unsharable. Physically though truth has to be agreed upon by investigating our shared reality. The methodology is simple enough but some people who aren't experts need to realize they aren't and trust those that are.

@RogueLoner Experts agree that the only experts that are experts are the experts that agree with the experts.

I think the general hand wave dismissal of facts we don't agree with is to ask "how does it affect your life?" So how does this affect you Mr.Rogue?

We all have our own truths.
But, facts are a different story.
Carla · 61-69, F
@RogueLoner facts are generated by numbers and/or observable evidence.
There are no feelings involved.
"My german shepherd is the fastest dog in the neighborhood. He's outrun every dog he's gone up against.
Well, what about that greyhound next door?
"He hasn't raced him. My German shepherd is the fastest dog in the neighborhood."
An Individuals Truth, or fact?

Depends who I’m talking to. Sometimes I just say things to keep peace or not offend or because I don’t feel like sharing.

True. It can all be subjective and biased and based on perception, which we know is skewed. Plus there's always a few versions of.
