is it normal for gas stations to put a hold of $75 on your credit or debit card?

Ive been noticing this lately and it seems very odd to me..

@Virgo79 cash works really well to hide your true income when you are paid in cash like I am for my male stripper work. pay cash for most things so there is no paper trail of my spending to point to my true income. lots of cash hidden away in various places too. you got to have coins though as many places don't have change with the coin shortage. 💵

@Virgo79 yeah but i have capital one and there are only a few atms around so that would be more gas wasted just to get cash thats why i stick to cards
