is it normal for gas stations to put a hold of $75 on your credit or debit card?
Ive been noticing this lately and it seems very odd to me..

If the hold lasted longer than a few hours i'd be concerned.

@SW-User I agree it seems strange for a fuel outlet to do that. How long does the hold last for?

@SW-User usually less then a day but i needed that money for my amazon purchase..

@SW-User Hotels and car rental companies do that here but they hold it for 2 weeks to a month. Hopefully the fuel places won't decide to do the same.

@SW-User Yeah, it's way too long especially if you have a debit card and worse, if you stay in a few hotel within a month you can end up with over a thousand dollars on hold.
