She's been speaker of the House of Representatives for about 8 years now, during different terms. She is highly effective as speaker, because she won't even bring a bill to the floor unless she KNOWS it will pass, and she already has the votes.
Her father was Mayor of Baltimore, (Thomas D'Alesandro), and it was rumored that he was good friends with one or two wise guys. Of course they deny the hell out of that rumor.

Pelosi was associated with John F. Kennedy, through her father's connections, and attended some of his parties as a debutante. She met her husband there, and he was also from an old Italian background. Her husband was the one who convinced her to play politics, and she has passed many bills that would benefit HIS holdings, and has basically done insider trading without repurcussions.
Despite the VENEER of respectability, Pelosi is all about La Vendetta. She can not escape her underlying vicious temper and her willingness to hunt down fellow members of Congress and destroy them if they do not play ball.
A very sorry day was the day when she ran head on into Donald Trump, because she couldn't play nice with him. Destroying Donald Trump is her particular pet project.
Dems KNOW that, they FEAR her, and we can just thank God that she is finally aging out.
Pelosi will try to hold onto power with her dying skeletal fingers, and will lie, cheat, destroy...do whatever she wants to keep her power intact. The LAW does not apply to her.
