Happy New Year everyone and I hope some made the resolution to be discerning.
Because of political correctness gone mad, it won't be long before being discerning is an egregious quality. This is a shame because if we not able to be selective then are we not far from base animals governed by beastly instinct?
To be selective, to excersise discretion, to be picky as to what or who you let into your life is the fundamental building blocks that one of the most important human qualities - taste- is founded upon. And upon that we can all -together- build something better, etiquette. If we do that we will have a world where there is less profanity, less violence, young ladies won't think its OK to chew gum anymore, the poor won't be so hostile to those that actually went to work and generally every one will be happy (or at least happier).
So I hope that at least some- particularly the young - made the New Year Resolution to be more discerning. Not just in morals, music and clothes but also their overall attitude generally.
