How would you feel if your government started using these DNA heritage apps to select people with "weak genes"* and offered to "buy their fertility"?

*weak genes meaning genes that carry hereditary illnesses of an immediately debilitating nature.

*offering to buy fertility meaning they offer these people money in exchange for sterilization. Let's assume that it starts off at 10,000 USD and is reduced by half for each child you have.

And let's assume that it is completely and only optional

I would say it an improvement to ask up front and compensate people instead of poisoning food or abduction. :-/ or forced abortion. It is called selective breeding. And I don’t think it will ever be perfected in our lifetime. People can say yes or no. Just like they do for anything else. As for myself, I knew I wanted children. I only had the benefit of one. The other passed away. I know genuinely amazing women that can’t have babies. It’s absurd that these educated kind generous women simply can’t reproduce. (Sigh) and now abortion for some is not an option and adoption for some isn’t heart felt, or isn’t affordable. And the only children that are adoptable have been born with severe ailments. They were not desired by their own parent and now they are in an adoption center. I thi k people who don’t want others to have abortions should be required to take the baby home and care for it. If you really believe it’s wrong , adopt the baby. . That is what I think.

They don’t need that, they have a jab which the minions are willingly rolling up their sleeves for

I would take that. I'm sure I carry a genetic disease so I don't want to bring suffering anyway. Plus money for it sounds like a win.

I would think that to be abhorrent.
It's a very short path between voluntary and mandatory.

They would have to also have to offer them invetro of some good genes should they want to conceive.

Makes my skin crawl that eugenics is being openly lauded
