Are older people (76 -100 ) age always right? If they insult you in a subtle way do you tend to be humble and change or do you get offended?

No, they are not always right. I personally don’t take insults from anyone. However, the elderly have to be given some leeway at times. Now that I’m in my 60s, I understand how it is to be old, and I’m more grumpy now than I’ve ever been. It will probably get worse, so you have to play it by ear, and while not tolerating abuse from anyone, it’s also good to be understanding of why they may be impatient with you, and give them a pass.

@Carissimi Thanks for the input. I'll try to be more understanding, though sometimes it is challenging to let it pass, specially if the insult is something too personal or something like criticizing me for something I am not capable at the moment but struggling to be. I do understand that I should be more patient, but sometimes I cannot help comparing other people at same age who are gentler and comforting and think that the insulting one is really so against me.

It’s a judgment call. While it’s good to be understanding, don’t tolerate abuse. @TessDun
