Is anyone else relieved that they don’t have to spend the holidays with extended family due to the restrictions on indoor gatherings? (Where I live we are restricted to ten people )
@BettyBeez @Jenny1234 I think you both should consume much eggnog and also many boiled eggs and sit next to the person whose company you like the least. <3
No I'm relieved that this year I will be with them. Last year we had to watch our Grandkids open their presents while they sat in their SUV and we stood outside. This year we will be going to their house. Cheers and happy weekend!
Screw restrictions. That being said, I ended the large extended family gatherings years ago. Too impersonal. Kids and grandkids make for a perfect event.
@RedBaron That’s not necessarily true, it’s just not the same people. In some families, with folks marrying in and babies being born it means their numbers double.
Yes. I’m going to see my parents and my niece, who lives with them. My siblings will probably come, but no one else is driving up or flying in. That means if we want to have Christmas supper in our bathrobes, or have it DoorDashed, that’ll be perfectly fine.
