Have you ever missed someone you have never met?

In a way -- my favorite musician, Felix Pappalardi, was murdered back in 1983c and I still listen to his music and miss what he might have created if he'd lived.

But I guess I could say that about several musicians and writers.

No but I've not missed someone that I once loved deeply.

When a favourite writer or musician dies I grieve for them as if I knew them.
