It hurts, but I don't say a lot. Maybe they need space. Some have patterns. but then I have to be responsible for my own triggers and reactions. I mean, are they responsible for how I feel or my happiness?

@SW-User In an ideal world happiness should not depend on other people. But it takes an immense wisdom and emotional and mental strength not to be affected when the people you care the most totally discount you. I’m done with putting them first. That is the only way to manage my expectations and avoid triggers from recurring.

@TessDun Oh course we are affected by it, didn't mean to imply otherwise. It can hurt. I only meant we shouldn't rely on others too much. Best luck on that, to you.

Furthermore - if we're talking about the on-line realm. I know some who have gone on hiatus, pretend to be gone but they are still sneaking around watching. I've seen them posting on another site. One's close to them are hurt thinking they are ignoring. That is utter crap behavior.
