Your ability to retain information? My 12 year old brother suffers from autistic spectrum conditions as well as savant syndrome. Upon asking him this morning where we should eat breakfast he recited in its entirety, the menu including price of a Denny's restaurant.

The bizarre part, and this is not to take away from your brother, is that anyone with a healthy brain can actually do the same thing, you just have to learn how.

@thisgenericnamehere I absolutely agree. It's our mind as we can possibly control its function. That learning part you mention certainly remains the key for sure.
