How to be kind when being honest?

I don't like brutal honesty, because it is brutal
I do value honesty.
I don't think those who dish out brutal honesty like when it's dished out on them.

@Justmeraeagain that's a good point. Many of us prefer a bit of kindness when being given the truth.
