I feel very sad for someone who hit my car

He most likely hit it my mistake causing dent on my car while it was parked and I was away, but before I could get to the spot some people caught him and starting beating him up.it stopped after I reached there

I decided to take him to the cop because the poor guy could not pay for the damages and I required a report from the cop to submit my insurance claim.

But even the cop beat him. Damn

For god's sake, such a beating is not a price the poor guy should pay for a dent on my car

I feel terrible for him and offered money for medication which he refused since he was not in mood for anything

I was carrying for stuff with him to sell and have food which was confiscated by guys who beat him which I helped to get it back

This whole episode is not leaving my thoughts and mind, I feel very sad for this guy

Guys, did I do anything wrong??
