@nightjourney the overall trend is that society is more accepting of people for being themselves. Coming out as gay now can be hard, but try doing that in the 1920s and see how that goes

@nightjourney No. People who were depressed were often [b]institutionalized[/b], some even lobotomized. Considered an embarrassment and put away. People did a lot of hiding back then. It seems like more people are depressed because you can [b]see[/b] them. They’re being counseled, treated with medication and mostly allowed to live autonomous lives, not locked away.
