What work of art inspires you the most?

For me, it's always been Modigliani for some odd reason I can't explain.

@SomeMichGuy I absolutely loved the symphony (The 8th I think) the one that includes the Hallejuah chorus.
@Grateful4you Hmmm...

The Hallelujah Chorus is part of G. F. Händel's Messiah, typically performed at Christmas. (This is sung by a whole big chorus.) Often, non-members of the chorus will sing this chorus. (It is traditional to stand for it, if one can; this was begun by Queen Victoria, as her recognition of Jesus' place as greater than her own.)

You might be thinking of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony--AKA The Choral Symphony--which has, as its closing, the Ode to Joy, based upon the poem by the same name by a guy named Schiller. (This starts with a singer, then this singer interacts with a big chorus, then more with a small set of special singers, and lots with the chorus.) This has become a staple in Japan at the New Year.
