My dad had to go in the same zinc tub filled with the same water as his 5 sisters before him. Let that sink in.

Love baths, very relaxing
Carlisle · F
I need to have bubble bath every now and then to relax my mind. Iv got special candles and bath fizzers with my favourite scents. I usually shower after quickly.

A bathtub's only real use is for people who find it relaxing, people who work physically a lot and need to soak in ice or epsom salt, or for for people who have children. Washing kids off would be much harder if parents had to reach under a showerhead and cover themselves and the bathroom with water Lol- I believe that is the reason most bathrooms still come with a tub.

Shower. The separate big bathtub never gets used. When I want to soak in hot water, I do it in the Jacuzzi.

A big shower sounds nice. I like to take a bath then follow up with a shower, when I have time
Allelse · 36-40, M
I sit in the tub after one of my big walks and eat popcorn!!!

I take showers every morning. Showers are quicker
I have a theory that shower design needs to advance to a 48x48 standard for showers, with cultured marble leak proof shower pans and corian walls to 8 ft.

With no controls on the inside walls, electronic valves and voice activation

You end up sitting in a tub full of dirty water after 10 minutes in the bathtub😐
BawseBaby · F
@Tminus6453 the whole point of washing oneself is to clean. Oh, you're one of those people who are clean BEFORE getting in the tub?
Genius....
Tminus6453 · M
@BawseBaby Not sure why you are being an ass after i essentially said the same thing as you..😅
BawseBaby · F
@Tminus6453 because one ass deserves another. And no, you didn't say the same thing as I did.

I haven't been in a tub for the last thirty years. I only used it to soak a pulled muscle. One of the houses I lived in as a child had a footed tub.
I prefer a shower. A big shower is ideal imo. I hate bathtubs.
My favorite is a warm bath followed by a hot shower. But that's water-wasteful and now I don't even have a bathtub, so shower it is.

I have baths still. I have a shower when I get ready for work but a few nights a week I like a hot bath to relax
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
I like showers more. I haven't taken a bath since I was little. 🙈
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
I like showers better, because I can just hop in and hop out.
Iwillwait · M
I do not like baths.
BigBulge · 46-50, M
Nothing like a soak in a hot tub of water, when your back hurts...
Shiki ·
I like hot showers, the wife says it's like Satan's kisses 😂

I took baths when I lived in a Victorian that had a wonderful huge claw foot tub. It was a great way to unwind in the evening, The bathroom was big and it had a dresser big enough to hold a candle and a CD player. But the tub I have now is not quite as luxurious. I mostly shower now, and have a teak bench in the shower—Japanese style.

I don’t take a bath to wash up.

I like them to relax they’re especially helpful with body aches.

I’m sure some people still clean in a bath but I don’t think I know anyone myself.
Coppercoil · M
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit I do it all.. any order.. I've no limitations. In the olden days like a whole family would use a bath tub cause getting and heating the water was such a pain. You'd be surprised how dirty water can get and still work with the use of soap!
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 31-35, F
@Coppercoil my dad’s family did that growing up. Shared among 5 people
