I’m answering as a man only to give my wife’s experience. She began to turn white at an early age and began to color her hair. One day her hairdresser told her that, “I’m probably cutting my nose off despite my face but think honestly your hair would look best natural”. So she did let it grow out and in the right lighting looks stunning. As she said natural is sometimes best.

I'm not a lady, but for some reason my facial hair was mixed between bright blond and black (I was a blond for the first three years of life and slowly became black by adult age) but the mixed blond/black facial hair didn't change until I was like 30 and now the blond turned white.
It doesn't look quite right, but it is what it is.
I also think it depends what it looks like ... I know my mom colored her hair forever then finally stopped and everyone loved how her grey hair came in. My one aunt never colored her hair to my knowledge. I have another one, I think will always color as she doesn't like how the grey comes in.
So I think it depends on the style and look of it as well.

Jenny! I'm not a lady but, I can speak for my wife who died in 2012. Now my wife used the bleach free colouring that lasted about two weeks, it washed out during that period of time. I used to ask her not to use it but, she was happy and that was all that mattered to me.
I think she used this colouring stuff for about 6 years. One day she said, I'VE HAD ENOUGH. Within 12 months she was almost totally grey.

52. I get gray around the frame of my face so I color it. Not ready to embrace that period yet.

About two years ago (about 68), when even I had to admit red hair was no longer plausible.
I love my gray hair - it's silver, not gray - and it's positively freeing to forget about roots and touch ups and such. Some day soon I'll change my pfp.

I like to do fun colors, so as I get older, and definitely after I retire I want to have all the funky colors I can’t because of a job. I guess when I don’t have the ability to do or afford it I’ll stop.

How would anyone know what they will or will not choose to do in the future?

When my hair turns grey I'm hoping it turns white grey like my dad's did. It was a beautiful shade.

I have only every used highlights , usually every six months . My greys are ✨ sparkling…

I chose to let it grow as it is from the start. I don't have too many yet. Even later, I feel like the dye would feel suffocating to my hair. Yes I will probably be judged anywhere I go, but I've accepted that and the best people I've met don't mind any bit of me :)

I think I'll probably just let my grey hair grow, when/if it does. My mom never went grey, and neither did my great grandmother.

I’ll most definitely dye it , and I’d stop when I’m +72 years old. . .

I’ve had white hairs since I was 13.
I’m not sure if it has been caused by the massive amount of stress I’ve dealt with or maybe genetics.
I dye my hair maybe once every year.
Otherwise the white strands glitter through the rest of my hair for anyone to see.
