Why is the word "homosexual ' (a scientific word) considered bad but" cis" (also scientific) considered OK?

I've never known a non trans person to be okay with 'cis' unless they are some idealistic young kid who hasn't really lived in the world and it's constantly eager to virtue signal how woke they are.

Seeing as most natal people don't like cis, isn't that reason enough to change it?

I think it's because during WWII and other times in history, people used the word homosexual as a bad word to make gay people feel bad.
CIS has never been used in that way.
