What are your opinions of a guy about 43 yo calling himself a jerk?

So this particular 43 is a player for lack of better words, and my cousin is was trying to set him up on a date with a 26 yo that said thinks he is cute and nice, but the guy says he really shouldn't and that she has enough problems and "doesn't need no jerk like me".
