What are your opinions of a guy about 43 yo calling himself a jerk?

So this particular 43 is a player for lack of better words, and my cousin is was trying to set him up on a date with a 26 yo that said thinks he is cute and nice, but the guy says he really shouldn't and that she has enough problems and "doesn't need no jerk like me".

I’d have to know the person. If he’s really a “player”, it’s not likely due to lack of confidence, so possibly he doesn’t want to be set up with anyone.
