I would really like to believe that is always true, but I think how kids/people are treated over an extended amount of time... shapes them, maybe changes them and how they see themselves. Often enough, I have seen people ask what is wrong with them that others are so unkind. It's hard to get some to see that what is wrong is in the ones who chose to bully and be unkind.

@SW-User I think I agree. People tell kids who are bullied that they have to "be strong," but don't tell the bullies to stop. The bullies don't have to change, but we do.

@Manfredthemanic Be a change... don't let bullies keep bullying. Talk to teachers or other adults you trust. Someone needs to listen and help. Bullying isn't acceptable and more people need to stand up to it and say "no more". It's not easy, but talk to someone, if you can.

@SW-User I did talk to someone and they don't do anything. It's always my fault and people try to change me and say I need to take anxiety medication.
My parents tried too, and they don't listen.

@Manfredthemanic I'm really sorry about that. As parents, they might need to make a stronger stand and not give up.
I hate to see anyone on medication if there is a way to fix problems instead.

@SW-User My parents said no to medication and I don't want it. My anxiety got worse because people suck more in school, not because there's something wrong with me. But sometimes, I think there is. Sometimes I think a lot of things is wrong with me.

@Manfredthemanic I agree. Nothing wrong with you. :)
And yes... school kids can be pretty awful, but you might find one or two who can be great friends...that is what I wish for you.
You're young and the world is not always all roses... doesn't mean anything is wrong with you.

@SW-User Thank you. I hope so too. I know nice people are there, but not in my school. I tried to make friends, and when I find someone, they always leave when they get tired of me and bully me as well because the kids who bully me are cool!

@Manfredthemanic I need sleep but I will tell you this much... some of those bullies have sad stories to tell and some even feel bad for going along with the rest...yet, yes... they want to be seen as cool and fitting in. I'd be talking to the parents of those children too. I'll be around again later. 😴🤤

@Manfredthemanic The bullies do need to change. They are the ones committing what would, if it was done outside school, be assault. A crime. What have the victims done wrong? Have red hair? Be a bit plump? Have learning difficulties? Wear glasses? Be short/Tall? Wear braces? Etc etc?
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Yes, I agree. Bullied people are just themselves. I don't even know why I get bullied, because I am none of those things. I'm just myself.

@Manfredthemanic Sadly, bullies will pick on people for many, many reasons 😥 But remember you have friends here 👍

@Fluffybull I know and I'm happy about that. I just hope SW doesn't go away any time soon.
