I don't see it really much different than when schools require vaccines.

@Subsumedpat Those vaccines work.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@nudistsueaz Data says the covid one does too, it is effective at preventing serious illness.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@Subsumedpat Seems everyone I know that has been vaccinated has still gotten the virus. That's not how vaccines are supposed to work.

@Subsumedpat hmm I guess big Joe May be wondering if they work now.
DViper97 · 46-50, M
@nudistsueaz same way I see it. Nothing more than control.
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@DViper97 LOL.....yeah. Now how many times has he been vaccinated now???
DViper97 · 46-50, M
@nudistsueaz and remember in the beginning when he said “get the vax and you won’t get Covid”. I’m sure they all own stock in the vaccine companies.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@nudistsueaz That is not how all vaccines work, some work better than others, some you only need to get one time and you will never get what ever it is and others you have to get every year and it only means you are less likely to get something. With covid the original vaccine was effective but not 100% at stopping you from getting the original strain and very effective at preventing serious illness and hospitalization. Since Omicron it has not been as effective at stopping people from getting covid but it has still been effective at keeping people out of the hospital. Like you a bunch of people I know have got the vaccine but still got covid but not one if them had to go to the hospital, in my circle of people the only ones who died or had to go to the hospital were not vaccinated.

@DViper97 A lot of it is money, I can't speak for other countries but most people here have employer sponsored health insurance and most big companies self insure and pay an insurance company to administer the plan rather than pay an insurance company premiums. Such was the case with my last employer, they paid blue cross to administer the plan but the employer had to pay the actual medical costs. It gave them an interest in their employees health. A hospital stay on a ventilator means icu and a average price over $100,000. Being that the jab is effective at keeping you off a vent it is not wonder that companies mandate it.
DViper97 · 46-50, M
@Subsumedpat I respect everything you are saying. However I don’t agree with a blanket mandate on some shot that was rushed and forced on peoples lives. Some of these people that took the jab because they were forced are now having issues that came about because of it and some people lost their jobs for not accepting this brainwashing. Not right on so many levels.

@DViper97 Agreed
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@DViper97 Well what can I say we are all in the boat together and while people want to do what they want to do there is also the whole to think of, there will be nowhere you can draw the line which will make everyone happy. People don't want to take the jab but if you ask them ok you don't take the jab are you going to pay the hospital bill if you get put on the vent, most people could not even if they were ok with paying that. The biggest take away is I know a lot of people who died of covid and nobody I know who got the jab even got hospitalized.
DViper97 · 46-50, M
@Subsumedpat I respect your opinions, I just don’t agree with force.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@DViper97 It is not really force, it is a choice, you can choose to loose your job if your employer requires it. It is not fair to say you get to choose to get the vax or not but if you choose wrong and you end up on a vent someone else has to pay the bill for that choice. I have no clue how many people in the US have been put on the vent because of covid but I do know that how ever many that is you multiply it by $123,000 and you get the cost. If I were the king everyone would get the jab because I can't afford that hospital bill. Someone has to pay that bill, employer, insurance, or government taxes.
DViper97 · 46-50, M
@Subsumedpat well if that’s the case why don’t they force everyone to stop smoking? We pay high insurance because people choose to smoke and lung cancer and ventilation for smokers cost a lot of money too. We can go on and on.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@DViper97 I would do that too, say you want to smoke you pay the price, pay what ever premium the insurance company wants you to pay to be a smoker and when you get on Medicare your premiums will be different there also, I believe in choice but sometimes you got to draw a line and say some risks are ok to spread out but others are not.
DViper97 · 46-50, M
@Subsumedpat yep. All these crooked politicians and the whack job puppet at the CDC all have their greedy hands in this with pharma and insurance companies. Before the end of this term they will be jabbing us for monkey pox.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@DViper97 I feel it is important to have things the other way around too, if you are paying for a choice then you should have a say in it. Like if the government wants to engage in a 20 year war in the middle east those of us paying for it should have a say.
DViper97 · 46-50, M
@Subsumedpat agree fully.
