Thoughts on this hairline crack kitchen ceiling?

[image deleted]It's probably twenty inches or so long, and it's maybe a few mm thicker than a hair. It's in the kitchen.. bathroom/shower above it.

A couple questions. What type of construction is the house? Wood? Any idea what thickness the upstairs flooring is? Most likely it's just where the sheetrock joined or is your ceiling plaster?
