If you accidentally step on a snake while sprinting, could/would the snake successfully bite you in the time it takes for you to sprint past it?

@SW-User your covering a few meters second while sprinting. To get bitten it would need to have it’s head angled in your direction and be already in a position to strike. And even then I doubt it.
