@DIABLISS take a realistic inventory of food a d supplies available. Check integrity a d sustainability of clean water and clean air supply. Discuss personal medical, social, and other limitations of everyone. Recon surrounding areas and evaluate any possible security threats. Do what needs to be done.

@DIABLISS I've been a survival hobbyist for a couple decades. The scenario has been discussed, evaluated, mimed, testes, scrambled and overthought to a degree of boredom .

@Notanymore do you think it is going to go into effect soon or just been a waste of time

@DIABLISS personally, i don't know. I don't feel like the ball will drop soon. I'd be perfectly happy if it never drops. But it's never a waist of time to build confidence in your systems of survival. A simple month long power outage in the winter (which would cripple a whole lot of people these days) would be a mild inconvenience for someone with a novice level of preparation. Two days of a power interruption is kinda fun. Like a camping trip in your own home.

@Notanymore i guess it is never a waste of time to be prepared. i would hate to be these people that are without everything right now since it is so hot and cold enough overnight to cause illness. i don't understand why we don't have a place for them or why they don't all have family that can take them in. this is such a cold world, i don't understand people

@DIABLISS that's a sad and excellent example of exactly WHY we should ALL build systems of survival for ourselves and our loved ones. You never know what can happen.

@Notanymore it is like the 50's all over again. the middle east is frightening. Black people getting shot by cops. out of control fires in the west. the Jones' are digging a bomb shelter...

@DIABLISS it's never stopped. The media is just feeding it to us more for ratings. The truth is; at anytime, anyone of us could face a small scale disaster that could turn our world upside down. A small amount of reasonable and realistic preperation can all but completely eliminate severe consequences.
