Regarding all these anti maskers and anti vaxers who are now dying from Covid 19

The media is making rather a meal of this. Listing splinter religious leaders who said Jesus would protect them. As well as Freedom lovers who wont be told to mask up and conspiracy theorists who believe everything from Bill Gates microchipping a vaccine, (as if owning you through your computer, phone and smart watch wasnt enough) to Covid being a hoax or to be treated with everything from crystals to Horse de-wormer.
Their dying declarations that they should have been vaccinated, the families setting up of on line begging sites to pay for their bills and the pathetic pictures of them in Hospital beds are all making a splash. And I get it. These people are idiots and this is a public safety warning to others.
But seriously: Some are really revelling in this.. And these are people who are suffering horribly, asphyxiating slowly and painfully..And sometimes dying terrified and alone. Lets not lose our humanity over their stupidity.馃樂

This is one I faciliate with. On one hand the imperative to treat STAT, whilst on the other hand folks admitted to the ER with serious, acute medical issues are being treated sencondarily, I have a problem with that issue.

@Grateful4you It's happening a lot in some places. Shouldn't be that way. It's unnecessary.

@Ynotisay I totally agree. I guess the Hippocratic oath didn't have a pandemic in mind. Not to this degree.

@Grateful4you Triage to decide who gets the ventilator and the ICU bed based on who has the best chance of survival is something that should never happen in the richest country in the world.馃樂

@whowasthatmaskedman You would think so wouldn't you. I have no problem with someone claiming the "Right" to no vaccine, I DO have a problem with them wanting a bed that others need for other acute illnesses who are already vaccinated.

@Grateful4you I agree emotionally. Fortunately in most cases they are self sorting. Non vaccinated people who contract Covid and end up in hospital have much worse odds of survival. So in a triage situation they will go to the bottom of the pile. I still dont like that. But there is some justice there.馃樂

@whowasthatmaskedman I haven't been a medical clinician in decades. I would have a terrible time expecting someone with terminal cancer to be sent home on account of no beds. Palliative care is a need often not able to be provided in a home setting. This is no easy subject for empathetic medical professionals I'm sure.
