I take it as I said something wrong or they got bored of me so I just completely back off
crushedstrawberriess · 22-25, F
@TopCat I knowww, that's why I dont want to respond bc its annoying lol
@crushedstrawberriess yeah I tend to leave it unless they message me

PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
I’m very realistic when it comes to exchanging messages…a “They’ll get back to me when they get back to me” person and I feel the same after reading their message, especially given the fact most messages exchanged are just time-fillers consisting of small talk. More in-depth exchanges naturally have me wanting to be a bit more present, but when it’s made clear that they’re not as interested in responding as I am, I adjust my level of interest and my attention accordingly.

I don’t think you’re being dramatic. I think you’re taking the feedback another has given you and applying it properly. It’s totally okay to allow yourself to mirror their coldness if you feel a bit too discarded by their actions. If later on you feel like checking in with them, then don’t stand in your own way. But being tossed to the side like that is something we tend to remember if there’s a hint of pain encountered and it easily teaches us to be less invested in that person in the future.

It doesn't really bother me, because I know that life happens. For all I know the person could be on their lunch break and had to go back to work. Or maybe they are a college student. I mean what's more important, right?
crushedstrawberriess · 22-25, F
@Rose0415 yeah I get that, but 2 weeks have passed and they've been active meaning commenting, posting etc which then makes them being too busy not valid...I'm usually relaxed about this type of stuff but just dont like wasting my time is all
Rose0415 · 36-40, F
@crushedstrawberriess Well it sounds to me like he completely lost interest in continuing the conversation 🤔.

I'd take it as a sign that the other person is busy and thought the conversation had ended. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it unless it's your very best friend and you are used to talking to them daily. Since 2 weeks have gone by, you could just message them to ask how they're doing.
I get bored easily. if that happens to me then I just delete the message so I don't have to see it any more lol
crushedstrawberriess · 22-25, F
@Colddeadhands Haha considering that
Alison · 18-21, F
Ghost em I say. I'm tough like that tho.
crushedstrawberriess · 22-25, F
@Alison wish I was as tough as you 😭
Alison · 18-21, F
@crushedstrawberriess ok the secret is get a proper BFF, they never gonna desert you.

Also no one is beyond you. And besides at a given time at least one person has a crush on you probably several so don't take it seriously.
That's how I live *laughs*.

Ok, so what exactly does "left me on read" mean?

Does it rhyme with "left me for dead"?
Does it rhyme with "fed me with seed"?

And what's it supposed to mean?
crushedstrawberriess · 22-25, F
@Glossy to your original question before you edited: VIP.

And yeah I guess it is normal and maybe I'm just expecting more then
Glossy · F
@crushedstrawberriess Yes, I edited because I discovered it was a VIP feature.
Glossy · F
Maybe the other person just thinks the conversation has ended. Try sending them another message but asking them a question . That way if you know they still don’t respond, then they’re not going to respond.
TheotherAndy · 41-45, M
Not being dramatic, it’s a crappy feeling lol
DDonde · 31-35, M
I kinda view it as "ball's in their court now"
crushedstrawberriess · 22-25, F
@DDonde would you respond if they messaged again?
DDonde · 31-35, M
@crushedstrawberriess Yeah, probably. Depends on context though
