Jah or jehovah translates as

@WalterF It was jahs answer to moses,perhaps abraham,when asked his identity.I do not believe jah was the true Creator,but a god with a small g.

@pedrohedgerow Not sure about Yah. Yahweh is the tetragrammaton, the 4-letter "personal" name of God, which he revealed to Moses when Moses was sent to Pharoah to ask for the Hebrews to be set free. He said to God, Who shall I say sent me, and God gave his "intimate" name.
