I hope you're having a better day than I am

I'm driving along and all of a sudden my car starts making a squealing noise followed by the red battery light coming on the dashboard. Luckily I was three blocks from a service station, so I pulled in and talked to the mechanic. He said it's not safe to drive the car with the red light on and the noise but he wont be able to get to it today. He took my phone number and said he would call when he knows what's wrong. My brother in law picked me up and took me home. So now I'll be without a car for who knows how long and who knows how much this will cost. Aaaaargh! 😫

Too bad. Cars are such a sinkhole for money. I hope they find the problem quickly and fix it once and for all for you, so you don't have to keep going back to fix the fix.
@SW-User t the catch is can u find some one who wil lfix it well .

@Elizabeth28 Right. One of my rules is don't go to the dealership, unless absolutely necessary. I've been robbed by them in the past. I found a mechanic that I trust -- at least, so far, so good.
@SW-User dealership= take alllll your $$$$%$ and fuck the car up more

@Elizabeth28 That's exactly what happened to me. It was 20+ years ago. Lesson learned.
@SW-User when i get a car will not buy at dealer and fix me self

@Elizabeth28 If you can fix your own cars, that's really smart.
