I've had enough!

The subject of blocking has come up a few times lately (I brought it up myself on one occasion). What I mean is this....there are some people on here that, despite that person being a complete numpty, you give chance after chance to them, but despite that, you just get so fed up with their negativity or their refusal to consider an opposing view, you end up thinking "That's it! I can't stick you any further!" then you block them. I did that with one member yesterday. I get how some people are genuinely patriotic (I'm not), but when it comes to "My country first and all" at the expense of everyone else, I don't want to know.
I don't quite get why blocking is considered to be so bad. It's not murder. They're still out there being who they are. It's likely they don't even know they're blocked.

It's not censorship. They're still saying what they say.

I am simply making my experience here more pleasant.

There are books and music and movies I don't enjoy. I don't think they should stop making them. I just avoid them.

@Mamapolo2016 Quite agree. If you don't want to hear from someone or put up with their opinions, you can block them. Doesn't hurt anyone. If only real life was that easy.......😉😊
@Fluffybull If only.

@Mamapolo2016 The irritating blockers are the ones who brag about it.
Like the kid who lists his allergies, has to tell you he is lactose intolerant, and climbing a tree gives him nosebleeds. 😅
I'm not a big believer in patriotism either, I know that nationalism of one kind or the other was a big contributing factor in the holocaust and many genoocides of the 20th century and so I find it alarming.

Military cementaries around the world are filled with the bodies of soldiers who thought god was on their side.

Thus my allegiance is to the world, not my country.

I always find it odd how people who like to say "we saved the french" conveniently have huge gaps in their knowledge of the American Revolution.

No point putting up with some people. If it spoils your experience here then just get rid.

{@jackieash] yes i agree there is nothing wrong with patriotism to a certain degree but some of the right wing trumpsters take it beyond that and if blocking them is the only option so be it . that is your your right and choice to do so

Same, I feel you. I love my country not how it's ran. But some people have difference of opinions and that's ok with me, but their own ignorance tells them I should not live in peace unless I think the same way they do
