Real love doesn’t say that I am ‘in’ love with you. I never understood why people said that. This implies the possibility of one day being ‘out’ of

love. Heart love is simply, I love you. That’s it. No escape clauses necessary. The phrase falling in love suits this illusion quite well, because they are indeed falling into an emotional trap or hole, whereas with real love, you are rising to it.

I’ve often wondered if it is a misunderstanding of what they are saying. Saying ‘I’m in love with you’ sounds silly to me
I’m in love, that’s a statement the makes sense.
I love you. - pretty straight forward.
I’m in love with you- this is telling someone that they love you and you love them. You’re speaking for both sides.

@nonsensiclesnail True. I never looked at it that way, but that is another good point. Glad to see someone else who hasn't fallen into mindless and habitual uses of phrases that don't make sense.
@SW-User it is unintentionally possessive on the wrong context. Or it could be used as a way to express agreement on the idea of where they stand.
Love is a risky notion. people claim love when they mean so so so many other things.

People say that because most often love isn't eternal, it's like a powerful drug, hits hard, lasts a while and then fades, it's what makes us want to breed.

@Magenta Not necessarily, just because someone falls out of love doesn't mean it has been for lust all along.

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic Yes, but the way you explained it up above, is more about lust. Love is in the heart.

@Magenta Love is in the brain, and it fades, those lucky enough develop a mutual dependency that is mixed in with whatever love they have for each other. Those who are unlucky are in love with the idea of being with someone who they can love and be loved by them but eventually realize that person is not what they want from a partner. Lust is a short time need, easily satisfied and normally people dont stick together for a long time over lust.
Falling in love is natural and you can still love them when you fall out.

@dark548 Fearing the Lord means to be in reverent awe of His holiness, to give Him complete reverence and to honor Him as the God of great glory, majesty, purity and power. For example, when God revealed Himself to the Israelites at Mount Sinai through “thunder and lightning, with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a very loud trumpet blast,” they all “trembled” in fear (Ex 19:16) because of His great power. They even begged Moses to deliver God’s message to them so they would not have to encounter God Himself (Ex 20:18-19; Dt 5:22-27). Also, when the psalm writer reflects on God as Creator, he says: “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere Him. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm” (Ps 33:8-9).

@SW-User idk fear sounds like poor choice of wording in the bible that can be confusing, wouldn't respect of the lord be more better?

When I hear fear i think of running away from something not loving it or standing there in awe.
