I have done it once, on the open ice. It was OK, but I pretty much did it just to say I did it, since it is such a popular activity around here.

I grew up in Wisconsin...so yes ice fished in the open and in an ice shanty.

Portable ice shelter and open ice if theres no wind. Lake trout, whitefish and specks

Sadly not 😭 I'm really hoping I can go fishing for my birthday this year, sadly my mom has a lot of work to do so I probably wont be able to go til next month 😭
