Even the average Jew back then didn't bath more than once a week, at most. Barbers were unheard of, even all Jews valued their beards as a prize possession.

Clothes were a commodity of utmost value. And most didn't have shoes at all. Nail clippers hadn't even been invented.

Well i don't believe Jesus didn't look like a blond haired Blue eyed scandanavian with long hair either.. But i think your depiction of Him is a bit extreme as well..

I think Jesus was olive skinned short hair probably a Jewish type nose well because He was born into a Jewish family.. Average height for the time.. And Jesus did not live in a desert.. He lived in Judah which is not a desert. He spend a lot of his time around the inland fresh water sea of Galilee so again not desert.. As for cleanliness the Jews where very particular about washing their hands so i cannot see Him as having dirty hands either..

You are right. We used to get a picture in Sunday School each week and learn the verse and say it. Jesus always had clean clothes! But it’s not how he looked. It’s his heart that’s important. And that’s the same for us. We are all people. Rich, poor, different colour, different ages, boys, girls.

It interesting that there are no authentic pictures of him when thousands of people are said to have seen him perform miracles. Were there no portrait artists in those days?
