Before goth appropriated chokers, they were big in the 70s and I'll bet they were popular before that. Trends come and go.

It was insanely popular when I was a first grader. It's just a fashion thing, children don't understand the sexual connotation adults give them. Honestly, I'm an adult and wouldn't connect those two things if others didn't see it that way. In fact, I was shocked to learn they're called chokers in English. 😆
