BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Yulianna "Whiskey in the Jar" a really old folk song.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@BlueMetalChick ah! i do not know that... American folk song?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Yulianna Irish, originally, but it's been extensively covered by American musicians since we have a very large Irish immigrant population.
@BlueMetalChick Can't believe I didn't catch that, I love that song whether it's the original Irish folk song, Thin Lizzy does the best version, & don't forget Metallica

@BlueMetalChick the Irish and Ukrainians are the book ends of europe... our countries have many simularities, including strong folk culture, and a worldwide diaspora.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DropTopDig I think the Grateful Dead version is the best, closely followed by Thin Lizzy.

@Yulianna It's funny cos my city has huge populations of both. Irish, Ukrainian, Polish, and Italian are our four biggest groups. Also lots of Jews, Chinese, Mexicans, and Puerto Ricans, but not quite as big as the others.
@BlueMetalChick Never heard it & I'm a Deadhead
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@BlueMetalChick and of your people?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@DropTopDig Yooooo YouTube that shit.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Yulianna Not many, but a few. In uptown there's a little bit of Gypsy.

@BlueMetalChick ok... do the ethnic groups, or should i say cultural, keep to themselves?
