@QueenandCrown I know that. I used to model for our hospital auxiliary fashion show, amazing the designer stuff people give away to thrift stores. My favorite was a tweed smokers jacket (with the patches at the elbow) the ladies let me keep it. Never goes out of style, that jacket has been around in variations for nearly 100 years.

@QueenandCrown No doubt an all American (and english) classic. I wear mine when flying because I can roll it up and when I land it un-rolls wrinkle free. It can be casual or dressy depending on how to accessories.

I did long ago, back when they had those cool catalogues. When I got the chance to go into an actual store years later, it seemed to have changed and was 'pricier'.

@Piper Yup, they became "discovered" by what got to be known as the "Yuppies". I still love the fashion though especially the safari shorts and khaki hats. I'm into "earthy"

BR is too expensive but they always have been. I do think that the cool richy classy country club style of fashion that they carry is not as popular as it used to be. People are wearing different sort of clothes now.
