What do you think of Americans?

As one we are a mixed bag...as I'd assume most other countries are...media shows either the best or worst of anybody...but we are all just people in the end

The first foreigners to befriend me whether irl or online were Americans, they went out of their way to help me, friendliest people I’ve met

I love them. I see people, not what country they live in. And I am one.

Anyway the few American people that I know are extremely nice, friendly and helpful.
I was in America for half a year, many years ago, and my English was terrible, and they did everything they could to help me. Thank you guys! 🌷

Probably the majority of them fall within the same boundaries of personality that we all do. What we see in the media is usually the far end of either side of the spectrum, from good to bad, because that is what is seen as newsworthy. We all have cultural strengths and weaknesses after all

I think they're generally put on a pedestal because American culture is globalised but I have a neutral stance until I get to know the person.

I think they are like people everywhere. They want a good life. They want to raise their children in safety, and they want the guarantees of freedom provided by the Constitution.

The impression I get talking to the online is much better than what I have seen through other media, a lot of them are surprisingly, fun, normal, witty, smart

I think that the majority of Americans are friendly, confident, loud, and proud. And if you would like to disagree then I will tell you that we honestly don't care what you think about us.

Best to deal with people as individuels..

The USA has 330 million individuels..

Great with salad a little chilli sauce and a glass of Chianti.

It depends on the person, but I find a lot of them very diverse and down to earth 💗😂

That those who like to talk about how much freedom they have as Americans have quite a strange idea of freedom as such. 🤔 From what I gathered on social media...

Americans are people, like everyone else. And some of the nicest, most generous natured people around in a one to one meeting.
They are however not served well by their media and in some cases their government. And many being highly patriotic can say the darndest things they believe to be true.

they used to be the greatest nation on the world... but they dont seem to realize that time is over

I think the American people are pretty goddamn normal in the scheme of things, and we only have a reputation because our government and unusually powerful media apparatus thrives on division and exploitation of the working class, which in turn involves smearing regular people to the ends of the Earth. That, and there's a shit ton of us, which statistically leads to a higher total number of extremists and weirdos, and the US is just a tremendously influential country.

We are people just like everyone else. I'm sick of the media portraying us in away that makes it okay for the terminally stupid to bash the country on a whole

I don't get why some are Americans, some African American, others Native Americans. Weirdos.

I think like in every country there are good and bad, but the both times I have visited the US I have had only positive experiences 👍

not to cast a blanket stereotype... but the vast majority that I have encountered fall into 2 main categories:
1. dumb as doorknobs
2. superficial & lacking any real empathy

I would say many of their problems stem from the fact that I think they are some of the most brainwashed people on earth.

Most are dumb idiots

stupid, fat, racist, and selfish.

I dislike some of them. I like some of them. I really like some of them.

Just like any other nation really. I do prefer it when they aren't starting wars but I can't blame them all for that and theirs isn't the only nation that does it.
