What do you think is behind the sudden disclosures of UFO's by the Pentagon?

In the 90’s William Cooper wrote a book called Behold A Pale Horse where he outlined when the governments of the world would finally reveal the existence of alien life. The gist was they would have the “big reveal” when global governments become uncertain of the control they hold over their populaces. In order to renew trust (or at least subservience) they would reveal what they “know” about aliens and how the populace needs their government to keep them safe from this “threat.” Cooper, who also spoke on his podcast back in August of 2001 about a “massive false flag operation on American soil, most likely in September” was killed by Sheriff department deputies in November of that same year.
