Should I use an online divorce service or should I hire a lawyer? Does anyone have experience with DIY divorce?

My estranged wife and I have agreed on the terms of divorce. I was thinking it might save some money to do it myself since lawyers want $2000 to file. But I don't want to mess something up then have to go back and hire a lawyer.

there's an old saying
a person that acts as their own attorney..

has a fool for a client and
a jackass for an attorney

even if you both use the same attorney they could make sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed.

@Pretzel Thanks

Hire an attorney. Divorce can get quite complicated with kids, property, debts etc.

Is go with the lawyer. Don't want to mess things up and have regrets

In Arizona they had a paralegal service called friend of the court. They would help you file and help you fill out your petition for divorce papers. I think that charged a couple of hundred pre housing market crash of 08
